OUR STORY
I started feeding raw in 2006. My beautiful Newfie dog Ella Bleu, began developing loonie sized sores on her belly, dry skin down the middle of her back and on the back of her thighs. Every day I would come home to mounds of black hair from her scratching. Our veterinarian suspected the skin issues were allergies stemming from the protein source in her dog kibble.
We tried many different top brands of kibble, including “limited ingredient kibble” developed for dogs with allergies. With each and every new dog food, we tried the allergies continued. This meant another costly trip to the vet for more antibiotics and steroids. It got to the point our veterinarians were recommending either a vegetarian kibble or a kangaroo meat diet. Both options seemed unnatural for our dogs.
As the price for these special diets increased the bags got smaller. We were running out of options and feeling helpless. It was at this time I recalled a conversation we had had with the breeders of our Newfies. They had strongly recommended feeding a raw diet. They suggested reading materials and praised their raw diet for the lack of ear and skin infections, fresh breath, sparkling teeth and no doggie smell on their fur. All of their females had healthy puppies naturally with no complications, no stillbirths and no cesarian sections. I started my research on “raw diets” and soon our journey began. From this point forward Ella Bleu's condition began to improve.
Not only did the raw diet eliminate Ella Bleu's allergies but there were no more costly vet visits and no more medications! Ella Bleu was finally able to eat all protein sources in raw form that she had allergies to in kibble. I feed my dogs once a day and every meal seems like Thanksgiving dinner. Our dogs are so excited to be eating a raw diet and I am excited to provide them with wholesome nutrition that is not over processed or stressing their bodies! Many people comment on how beautiful my two Newfies are and how shiny their coats are.
People are surprised when I tell them it's from their raw diet and often it is suggested that if I would make up meals for their dogs that they would feed raw too. This is how our 2nd journey has begun...Jolley's Raw Natural Nutrition. Completely balanced and convenient meals that are frozen, you just thaw and serve. Even our veterinarian feels that my Newfies are in amazing condition for their ages.

We started feeding Daisy raw the day she came home from our breeders. We had seen 1st hand how well Diane's dogs were doing and wanted to provide the same quality diet to our new addition. Willow loves raw all the different flavors and goes absulutly crazy for those chicken treats , she's at a healthy weight now but was under weight before hand.
